During the rest of the year, it is common for most stores to close at 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Saturdays and to be closed on Sundays. The stores in the malls remain open both days.

Note that almost everything is closed on holidays, including some grocery stores. There are 24 hour stores that remain open. Thanks to a new law, all stores are closed on Sundays too unless they meet very specific requirements.
