cavetourAre you going batty with boredom? Need a new challenge? If you cave in to desires to crawl underground, this tour company will fill that need. Being Cave Tour providers since 1994, the only time they surface is to prepare the next group for a tour. Plan on spending 3 to 31/2 hours plodding through the second-longest cave of Hungary, the Pál-völgyi–Mátyás-hegyi cave system. Most of it is located under the capital, but part of it is under Paris

Following a professional caving guide, you will explore the natural untouched cave system. The guides explain the formations of the Budai Mountains, the cave itself, and the old fossils along the way. We hope that there are no old fossils on the tour; they insult easily.

All the necessary equipment is provided with the tour: protective clothing, helmet, and headlamp. A changing room is available at the cave entrance. Crawling, scrambling, and hunkering down will be done many times during the tour. but no previous experience in caving is needed.

It is not recommended for those who are claustrophobic or too chunky to squeeze through tight places. They have English guided tours on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays late in the afternoon.

The tour can also be arranged for other times, but you need a minimum of 5 persons and it needs to be booked four days earlier.

See the site for youth age requirements.
